Jock Rates

Booking arriving between 01 May 2023- 30 April 2024:

General Terms (01 August 2023 – 30 November 2023 | 15 December 2023 – 30 April 2024)

• Only written cancellations will be accepted; please ensure you receive an acknowledgment of cancellation from reservations.
• A fee of 50% of the booking value will be charged if cancellation is less than 60 days prior to arrival.
• A fee of 100% of the booking value will be charged if cancellation is less than 30 days prior to arrival.
• All reservations must be cancelled through/ via the original booking channel; failure to do so will result in full payment being required.

Low Season Terms (01- 14 December 2023)

• Only written cancellations will be accepted; please ensure you receive an acknowledgment of cancellation from reservations.
• A fee of 25% of the booking value will be charged if cancellation is less than 60 – 31 days prior to arrival.
• A fee of 50% of the booking value will be charged if cancellation is less than 30- 15 days prior to arrival.
• A fee of 100% of the booking value will be charged if cancellation is less than 14 days prior to arrival.
  All reservations must be cancelled through/ via the original booking channel; failure to do so will result in full payment being required.

Transfers / Gate Times

• Transfers to and from the concession can be arranged with reservations on request at an additional cost.
• Transfers to and from Skukuza Airport can be arranged with reservations on request at additional cost.
• Transfers between Jock Safari Lodge and Skukuza are done by Jock Safari Lodge in an open game viewing vehicle.
• Terms and Conditions relating to road transfers apply, and are available on request.
• All road transfers are handled by accredited car hire and charter companies.
• All transfers must be arranged prior to arrival.
• Self-drive and road transfers from Kruger Mpumalanga Airport (KMIA/MQP) are subject to Kruger National Park gate times.
  • The Kruger National park prohibits the use of roads within the park once the gates are closed therefore guests need to be at their destination and transfer companies must be outside the park by the time the gates close.
  • Jock Safari Lodge is approximately one (1) hour from the Malelane Gate and therefore we recommend that flights to / from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA/MQP) are booked to:
    • arrive at KMIA/MQP no later than 14h30 on day of arrival
    • depart from KMIA/MQP no earlier than 10h00 on day of departure
  • No alternative arrangements can be made.

Children’s Policy Applicable to Fitzpatrick’s at Jock

• This policy applies to all persons from 0 up to and including 11 years old.
• Persons under the age of 12 years are not permitted on any walking safaris.
• Children staying at Fitzpatrick’s at Jock:
  – Children from 0 up to and including 5 years are permitted at Fitzpatrick’s at Jock ONLY.
  – Additional beds can accommodate a maximum of one child each OR two children per bunk bed (11 years or younger)
  – Cots can accommodate a maximum of one child per cot.
  – Complimentary child minding is offered during game drive hours, additional child minding can be secured at an additional cost outside of these times.
  – Additional children from 0 up to and including 5 years old:
  -are accommodated on a complimentary basis when sharing a room with adults – dependent on —- the availability of cots and/or additional bed.
  – are permitted on game drives conducted within the Jock Safari Lodge Concession
  – Additional children from 6 up to and including 11 years old:
  -are accommodated at 50% of the adult sharing rate when sharing a room with adults – dependent on the availability of rooms with an additional bed.
  are permitted on game drives.
• Persons 12 years and older are considered adults.

Children staying at Main Jock:

Main Jock accommodate families with children from 6 years and older on the following basis:
– Applicable adult rate(s) will apply to children of all ages.
– A private vehicle is reserved for sole use of the family, the daily surcharge of R 7,500.00 per day for private vehicle use.
– Additional beds can accommodate a maximum of one child each OR two children per bunk bed (11 years or younger)
– Persons under the age of 12 years are not permitted on any walking safaris.

Booking arriving between 01 May 2023- 30 April 2024:

• Full pre-payment is required 60 days prior to arrival.
• Full pre-payment will be required at the time of booking for reservations made within 60 days of arrival.
• Jock Safari Lodge reserves the right to release bookings, should payment not be received by the requested date.
• All bank charges are for the account of the client and will not be paid by Jock Safari Lodge.

• Policy applies to bookings of eight (8) or more
• A minimum stay of two nights applies throughout
• 2022/2023:
  • A 25% non–refundable deposit is payable 90 days prior to arrival.
  • A 50% non–refundable deposit is payable 60 days prior to arrival.
  • A 100% non–refundable payment 30 days prior to arrival.
  • All rooming lists are required 30 days prior to arrival.

The following terms and conditions must be agreed and adhered to in order to hold rooms for FIT Groups, Set Departure Tours, Set Departure Itineraries and Tour Series (2022/2023):

Jock Safari Lodge may request room(s) back at any point should it receive a confirmed booking for the same dates. The agent must release the room(s) back to Jock Safari Lodge if it has not been sold at that point. A 10% non- refundable deposit will be required immediately for room(s) should the agent not wish to release the room(s) back to Jock Safari Lodge.

• The cancellation policy is applied in the event of a reduction in rooms. Should one person in a sharing room cancel, the room rate will then revert to a single occupancy and single occupancy supplement will be applicable
• All rates exclude specialty meals (i.e. certified outsourced Halaal and Kosher meals)
• For all cancellations within three months of arrival, a fee of 25% of total value per room cancelled will be

• 10% non- refundable deposit may be requested at any time during the booking process should Jock Safari Lodge receive a confirmed booking for the same dates. This will allow us to hold rooms in advance and decline any and all other business we get for the same
• 25% of total group value must be settled three months prior to
• 50% of total group value must be settled two months prior to arrival.
• The balance, e. full pre-payment, of total group value must be settled one month prior to arrival.
